The Mahila Shram Sewa Nyas (MSSN) is a public trust, established in the year 1991, with the objective of working for the empowerment of women workers in the unorganized sector. To realize this objective, MSSN works by means of various institutional structures, credit cooperative, a producers’ cooperative, a cultural organization and an academy.
It organizes the women workers from various occupations, such as beedi rolling, tendu plucking, agarbatti making, construction industry, agriculture, street vending, etc.
It is working in 2178 villages of 766 Gram Panchayats in the rural areas and 1004 slums of 10 towns/ cities in the urban areas of 55 blocks in 19 districts.
